Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia[change source]

Hi Schlechter Wolf, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page. Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'edit summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. Happy editing! External links[change source]

Instead of using External links like the English Wikipedia uses, we use Other websites. Can you please remember to put this into the articles that you create instead of External links? Thanks, Razorflame 17:06, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your changes to Wikipedia. When using certain templates on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use instead of vandalism. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thank you. --Lights § talk 20:06, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Friends[change source]

I have added you to my list of friends here at the Simple English Wikipedia as you have been an outstanding member of the community and I very much like the edits that you've been making. I fully trust you now, and I would like to ask if you would do the same for me. I fully hope that we can get along with each other in the future. Razorflame 20:46, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[change source]

Don't forget to categorize articles you create.-- Lights  talk  22:29, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects[change source]

Hi! I noticed your question about redirects on Razorflame's page. Redirects are indeed done the same way as on English WP: by typing #redirectPage name. Hope this helps! · Tygrrr... 00:51, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I probably should have mentioned that the preview never looks like the final product on the redirects. If you type it up the way I mentioned and then save it, it should look like it's supposed to. · Tygrrr...

Your RfD votes[change source]

Hello there, Wolf. I just wanted to politely ask you if you could use Delete instead of what you've been using (Kill and Exterminate). We aren't Uncyclopedia. While I do think that you are taking the initiative and helping us out by voting in the RfD, I think it would be best if you would just use the Delete. Thanks, Razorflame 16:03, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. I just noticed that you would be happy to make signatures for other people. I would like to ask your permission to add your name to the list of users that are willing to help other users in making signatures? Please reply on my talk page. Gradient boxes[change source]

I saw on User talk:Schlechter Wolf/Signature that you don't know how to make gradient boxes. To make a gradient box, use this code:

<span style="color:COLOUR OF TEXT;background:COLOUR">U<span style="background:COLOUR">se<span style="background:COLOUR">r<span style="background:COLOUR">n</span>a</span>m</span>e</span>

<span style="color:COLOUR OF TEXT;background:COLOUR">U</span><span style="background:COLOUR">se</span><span style="background:COLOUR">r</span><span style="background:COLOUR">n</span>

Here's an example with this code: <span style="color:#fff;background:#393">Sc<span style="background:#266">hle<span style="background:#139">cht<span style="background:#00c">er</span>Wo</span>l</span>f</span>

Long March[change source]

Makinjg a stub of the Long March to get rid of a redlink is OK, but I had to rewrite this as it gave completely the wrong impression. I also added IWs. --Bärliner 13:02, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm sorry about that. I realized that I had written it very poorly and improperly, and was going to fix it after I finished rewriting a segment of the main Mao Zedong article. I would have had to refer back to a resource first, as I don't remember it very well. Thanks for fixing my errors. TheWolf 13:08, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have been involved in a bio page, possibly making unfair statements without real facts to support them. Please be careful, and observe Wiki's rules on bios. Welcome back![change source]

Hi there! Welcome back to the Simple English Wikipedia! I hope your stay here is a long one :) Cheers, Razorflame 01:08, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't realize that on Simple, "External Links" are called "Other websites" :). Malinaccier (talk) 22:20, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bad wolf[change source]

Hello fellow Doctor Who fan. :) I just remembered where your name comes from. Also, ironically, I first noticed your name when changing many External links to Other Websites, and I furrowed my brow until I realized that's the standard here and the change didn't previously consciously register. Just a friendly hi. (I haven't seen season 4 of Who, but look forward to it.) TransUtopian (talk) 02:54, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I won't spoil. Cheers! TransUtopian (talk) 16:25, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Gah! So that's where it is from... Microchip 16:27, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hee. Yeah, it's added to a CGI bomb in the gas mask child 2-parter, as no one told the writer to insert a Bad wolf reference in his script. PS: Schlechter Wolf, sometimes your edit summaries make me smile or chuckle. Just thought I'd mention it. TransUtopian (talk) 16:35, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Who is Doctor Who? has a clear image, and you can somewhat see it on this screencap. TransUtopian (talk) 16:50, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

<grin> Cool! that I opened your eyes to something delightfully new about something very familiar. I love it when that happens to me. Btw, as a copyrighted image, it couldn't be uploaded to commons, but you could draw a bomb outline and add your name in stencil font as "own work" (I think), if you'd like. Though I do like the poodle view. TransUtopian (talk) 17:01, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking in terms of your name appearing on screen, and great minds thinking alike (you and the producers), but that's a good reason not to. :) TransUtopian (talk) 19:51, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See Here for the reason. Thanks --  AmericanEagle  17:37, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would agree, but there is probably a good reason that they put it in the plural form. And to avoid confusion in articles, we take the same namespace as what they had written it as, usually. It's good to finally meet you, even though it was in an edit conflict. Cheers --  AmericanEagle  17:41, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sweeny Todd - Musical[change source]

Hi there,

I've just noticed this page that you have created, Sweeny Todd (musical), I would just like to inform you, that it is spealt sweenEy Todd. And also, The actual name of the Musical is: Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I would move the page myself, but being new to simple, I cannot move pages.

Cheers. Have Some Priest (talk) 20:45, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and Thanks for the Welcome Have Some Priest (talk) 20:46, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Glad that I could help. Sorry if it seems like I am doubting your judgment, but on english Wiki, they actaully use the full name of the Musical for the name of the article. Have Some Priest (talk) 20:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Independence Day!!!![change source]

I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Rock music WikiProject. There's alot of Rock-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few Rock music pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. WikiProject:Video games[change source]

Hi, I have found your name on the project page User:A Link to the Past/WikiProject Video games. I have an interest in this topic myself and have done much work on wiki articles related to video games so I have added my name to the list and I have started a vote on Wikipedia:Simple talk to have the project approved and moved out to its proper place WP:Video games. I am announcing this to all members and asking you to come and vote your support if possible. G Luck ~ R.T.G 02:40, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
