June 2021[change source]

Thank you for changing Wikipedia. We welcome all changes, but we can have only changes that are in simple English, and your new changes to "Wiki" were not simple. Please see Wikipedia:How to write Simple English pages so you can write more simply in the future. Thank you. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 00:29, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The words “transliterated paideia” are not simple. If you look at the links above you will see what words we use. This is simple English which means we have to limit our usage of the vocabulary that native speakers have. I encourage you to take a look at the lists and find a way to change that around or just remove it. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 00:35, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[change source]

Hi Islander334. I do not know if you saw the edit summary from the administrator Djsasso. He made the statement that but this sentence (and article for that matter) is talking about the word Wiki not the word Wikipedia. They are two different things. They are correct, as the article is about Wiki, not Wikipedia. Wikipedia is one of the by-products of the wiki. Just in case you did not see that as I noticed you are still working on that one phrase. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 15:48, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, thanks for your comment. I added it because it’s important to let people know that Wikipedia is for education purposes. Wiki is just for short and not the official name and the logo uses simple English and Wikipedia on the bottom. Islander334 (talk) 16:46, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that, but Wiki is the subject of the article, not Wikipedia (It has its own article Wikipedia). You can change it on there. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 16:04, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Just in case you didn't know, when you post messages on talkpages and Wikipedia pages, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ("~~~~") at the end of your message. You can also click on the signature button ( or ), located in the edit toolbar, which is above the change window. This will put a signature containing your user name or IP address and the time you posted the message. This information is useful because other users will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 16:05, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rock and Roll Article[change source]

Hi again, I noticed on the article Rock and roll you removed Fats Domino and added Jimmy Hendrix. Can you please explain why you did that? Islander334 (talk) 16:41, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Minor Edits - This box should only be checked if you do something very small (i.e. typo corrections, removing vandalism, fixing punctuation, fixing Wikilinks, grammar corrections, adding paragraph breaks, and changing formatting). Everything else should not use the minor edit check box. Also, you should always use the edit summary and change it to prevent getting notices/questions like this. Hi again, the reason is for notability. Sometimes I forget to put edit summaries sorry about that. Islander334 (talk) 16:41, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thanks for the advise regards Islander334 Islander334 (talk) 16:41, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi you need to sign your comments by typing in 4 tildes ~~~~ or clicking on the icon that looks like a small x and l with a line under it. That allows the conversation to flow smoothly and it is required to allow different things to take place on the back end. Now as far as notability, Fats Domino was also a notorious musician, so I would recommend changing it back to him. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 16:38, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your recent change to the page Ancient Greek appears to have added wrong information and has been removed. If you think the information that you added was correct, please provide a source for the change or discuss it on the article's talk page. Please use the sandbox for any tests that you wish to make. Thank you. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 16:28, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Use of infobox[change source]

Hi in the article Erzincan I commented out a majority of the information you had in there. You should use an infobox and the appropriate one for this is Template:Infobox settlement. Copy the full code to the top of your article then fill in the information. If you have any questions or issues, please feel free to let me know and I will be glad to help.
