October 2023[change source]

Before adding a category to an article, as you did to "Category:Field hockey players", please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category you have chosen. Categories that are not suitable will be removed from articles. If you are not sure what category an article belongs in, leave a message on the article's talk page. Thank you. Hello! Thank you for creating Category:Kenyan field hockey players. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. Thank you for the three messages. Presently there is only one article Roshan Salim in "Category:Kenyan field hockey players" which is a sub-category of parent "Category:Field hockey players". As there are no more articles for this sub-category right now, therefore, I agree that it may be removed. Yes, I forgot to give a change summary but what I did was correct. I just wanted to put "Category:Kenyan field hockey players" in "Category:Field hockey players". I removed parent gategory from sub-category retaining sub-category in parent category. The matter has been reconsidered. It was my mistake to remove "Category:Field hockey players" which was parent category of "Category:Kenyan field hockey players". I will be careful in future. Sportimes (talk) 19:14, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
