Current requests for rollback[change source]

User:Desertborn[change source]

I check the "new changes" when I am on SEW, and undo those that are vandalism. However, I often note that the same user or IP makes more than one vandal edit to an article. In those cases undo is not sufficient, so I have to leave the fix to others. If I had rollback I could help with those as well. You can see in my list of edits tagged "undo" the type of things I would also use rollback on. Of course, if you feel this request is premature I am fine with that as well, and will continue as I have been. Desertborn (talk) 16:29, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
Done I see no reason not to grant this right; you've been doing a lot of antivandalism work recently and I think it would make it easier. Thank you for volunteering, Vermont (talk) 21:35, 10 August 2019 (UTC)

I'll be using rollback mainly to revert obvious vandalism. I am aware and have read the relevant policies regarding the usage of rollback. Regards. — FR 17:35, 5 August 2019 (UTC)

X mark.svg Not done I'm not comfortable granting rollback just yet. You reverted an IP on the change filters reporting page saying that IP's cannot make pages, which is untrue. You are also inconsistent with notifying editors after you undo edits. This combined with your checkuser block on the English Wikipedia brings me enough doubt to believe you are not yet ready for rollback. i'd like to use rollback for reverting vandalism and malicious editors (i will not use rollback to revert good faith edits). i look in RC a lot and i have a fairly clean record within recent times since my..um...issues in the past. Computer Fizz (talk) 01:35, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
Could you explain what those issues are? Vermont (talk) 01:59, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
Disregard, I did some clicking about. It seems you were community banned for a bit. You've definitely changed significantly since then and have shown an ability to both constructively engage in the community and to aptly engage in anti-vandalism activities. Although you haven't been very active in the last few weeks, you do still have a track record of good antivandalism activities this year and I don't see a problem granting rollback. I will leave this request open for 24 hours or so in the event any other editor or administrator has shortcomings about granting the permission. Best regards, Vermont (talk) 02:09, 10 August 2019 (UTC)

I would like to request rollback to fight vandalism. I have read the rollback guideline and use it to revert bad faith edits only. I'd like to note that this is my 2nd time requesting for this permission as I did not show any reverting actions in the previous. Thank you. (Talk/留言/토론/Discussion) 16:41, 19 August 2019 (UTC)

In the future you can use {{nao}}. Best, Vermont (talk) 20:26, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
As the administrator who declined their last request, the issues I had then are no longer applicable. I don't see a problem in granting the userright. I'll leave it open for a bit to see if any other administrators have thoughts on this. Regards, Vermont (talk) 20:26, 21 August 2019 (UTC)
