Hawthorne, California

Hawthorne is a city in Los Angeles County, California. Its population is 88,083 as of 2020.[1] The area was first settled by the Shoshonian Indians during the 1500s.[2]

Famous residents[change | change source]

Marilyn Monroe lived in Hawthorne until she was six. The Beach Boys members Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, and Dennis Wilson grew up there. George Harrison's second wife, Olivia Harrison graduated from Hawthorne High School.
