Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar (19 October 1910 – 21 August 1995) was an Indian American Physicist. He received the 1983 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his theoretical studies of the physical processes of importance to the structure and evolution of the stars".[1]
He was born in Chennai, India but raised in Ludhiana, India until 1918, his family came and settled in Madras. He died in Chicago.
