I am taking a Wikibreak because I need to focus more on school. I have not been doing schoolwork recently because I would edit or read Wikipedia while in my classes. My grades are low until I can make up all of my missing assignments. Each missing assignment counts as a zero in the grade books, greatly decreasing grade averages. I will not be using Wikipedia while at school during this period. However, I might still check Wikipedia during the night-time. I won't be able to make as many edits or responses during this time. I will remove this message once I make up every missing assignment.

Quick deletion of Super Bowl LVIII[change source]

The page you wrote, Super Bowl LVIII, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. February 2024[change source]

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Super Bowl LVIII" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. MathXplore (talk) 05:23, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I was watching the Superbowl and I noticed that there was not an article made yet so I decided to create that article so that it could be a start for an article on this Wikipedia. I think someone should create it now that the game is over and we have the final results of the NFL Season and Super Bowl score. 84Swagahh (talk) 15:35, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Coming clean[change source]

Hi 84Swagahh. Thank you for your contributions to the Simple English Wikipedia. English Wikipedia's checkusers show that you also operate the account User:BulgariaWarrior. This account is currently blocked on the Simple English Wikipedia for vandalism (though it is set to expire soon) and is globally locked. Normally, accounts that are confirmed to be connected to a blocked user will also be blocked. However, I'm going to give you a chance, since you have shown to be a constructive editor. I ask that you do not vandalize, do not make disruptive edits, and do not abuse multiple accounts (this includes logged-out editing). If you violate this, and are caught using alternate accounts to disrupt the project, you may be blocked. Thank you. — *Fehufangą✉ Talk page 03:43, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have been editing this Wikipedia project in order to still contribute during my block on the main English Wikipedia. When I was vandalizing using the BulgariaWarrior sockpuppet, I moved onto this Wikipedia because I was able to understand the language and further vandalized here before becoming blocked here. After this current account was blocked on the English Wikipedia, I realized that I should start working towards becoming unblocked in a legitimate manner. I made unblock requests and was told to pursue the standard offer and that I was able to edit on other projects. I moved here and have been making good faith edits to the site. I will not make edits that are purposely disruptive nor will I be violating the sockpuppet rule. 84Swagahh (talk) 03:54, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What I find interesting is that User:Cyber.Eyes.2005, (one of the most active users on this project currently - over 6 thousand edits already), and I are editing here for the same reason: We are both blocked for sock puppetry on the English Wikipedia. I have made my first edit on this Wikipedia on December 7th, 2023 and Cyber.Eyes made her first edit here on December 6th, 2023. 84Swagahh (talk) 03:59, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are many users blocked on enwiki who come here and show that they can be excellent contributors and members of this community, and eventually get unblocked. I hope you can be one of them. Good luck! — *Fehufangą✉ Talk page 04:03, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, the BulgariaWarrior sock puppet was by far the worst sock puppet I’ve had because I used shock image vandalism and abused cross-wiki. Now, I’m trying to improve as an editor. Hope I reach my goal of getting unblocked soon! 84Swagahh (talk) 04:10, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcoming IP editors[change source]

Hello. We do not welcome IP users. The IPs can change by the day and they are mostly used to commit vandalism. So please only use the welcome template on user accounts. Also, you should typically wait until they become an established user with some good edits that don’t get rolled back for some reason and they have made edits for a couple of days. Some, based on the above topic, are created for sock puppetry and other issues so it’s a waste of time. Thanks - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 19:04, 7 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

About your recent VIP reports (special:diff/9431290)[change source]

Hello, I appreciate your efforts here. I want you to know that the account that you recently reported to VIP is a possibly problematic username (please check machine translation results), and it should have been reported differently. If I were you, I would use user creation log IDs instead, so offensive user names don't remain in WP:VIP page history (these may require WP:REVDEL). For example, the recent case is special:redirect/logid/2671638. User creation logs can be seen at special:log/create, and the ID numbers can be found via URL. I hope this can help you.

For your information, the JA/ZH vandals targeting simplewiki prefer harmful usernames (another example can be seen at Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Archive21#JA/ZH-originated_fake_doppelganger_accounts). They aim to leave harmful usernames in this project, and language barriers have delayed our responses. I have been working on this issue with our admins and sometimes with our oversighters. In the future, if you find a suspicious account but can't read its name, you may want to discuss the case with our multilingual editors (please consider using e-mail). Users can be found by each language through babel categories. For example, English speakers go to Category:User en, and Japanese speakers go to Category:User ja (I also belong here), etc. Please feel free to ask questions about this.

Again, thank you for helping us, and please keep up the good work. MathXplore (talk) 14:59, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, if I'm going to report someone for having an inappropriate username, I'll find them in the special logs first and then report them. 84Swagahh (talk) 15:26, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I have found how you can see the log of when a user account is created, so I'll report those instead. 84Swagahh (talk) 15:29, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted[change source]

Hi 84Swagahh, I've given you rollback as you requested it. Remember to only use rollback for obvious vandalism, and not good faith edits. If you'd like to test it out, please go here. Thank you for your contributions! :) --Ferien (talk) 23:08, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocking Essay[change source]

Hello members of the Wikipedia administration reviewing this request for unblock:

Today is May 7th, 2024, marking six months since my last request for unblock on December 7th, 2023. I have not created any unblock requests or edits on the English Wikipedia during the last six months to pursue the standard offer for the unblocking process. During the time that I have previously vandalized Wikipedia, I have broken multiple policies on conduct such as vandalism, sockpuppetry, harassment, and username policies. This has caused me to be indefinitely blocked on my six sockpuppet accounts. This disruption caused legitimate editors and admins to have to take the time to correct and handle my bad faith actions. The edits to articles I made in bad faith could have caused issues if a reader were to have read my disruptive edits to an article I vandalized; they could have seen a bad edit of mine and no longer trust the website because of my poor actions. Furthermore, my past vandalism in the userspace has annoyed others, wasted their time, and caused disruption to communication between multiple editors. Before creating an account, I have never edited while not logged in, but on May 3, 2023, my first account, User:PoopMoney923 was created and was blocked for vandalism the next day. After this block, I created the account User:PoopMoney23 to further vandalize before becoming blocked. After this block, I became aware of the sockpuppetry policy along with other policies I have already violated at this point. However, I disregarded this and continued to vandalize on newly created sockpuppet accounts found here. During the conversation on this account shortly before I was blocked for a final time, I remember thinking about the possibility of getting unblocked and returning as a legitimate editor. During that conversation, I knew that I would eventually be blocked for sockpuppetry, but I chose to continue lying by pretending to be new editor so that I could try to prolong the time before getting blocked. The next day, I saw that I was blocked from check user evidence for my sockpuppetry. This behavior from me will no longer happen. Whether I am successfully unblocked or remained blocked, I will not repeat this behavior and abuse. I promise to avoid my past harmful behavior because I do not want to harm the encyclopedia; instead, I intend to build an encyclopedia. submitted an unblock request asking about the possibility of becoming unblocked. After reading and reviewing the response from Yamla, I began my interest in using the Standard Offer to work towards becoming unblocked. I wrote my second unblock request where I asked most of the questions I had about this offer. I reviewed the response from jpgordon, made a comment and question here, and started my six-month absence from the English Wikipedia to work towards my goal of becoming unblocked and returning as a legitimate editor. I believe this request for unblock should be successful after careful review because of my work on the Simple English Wikipedia during this absence and because of my work towards the unblocking process.

I believe this request should be successful because of my work and contributions to the Simple English Wikipedia during this period of six months. Firstly, I humbly ask that the administrator reviewing this unblock request also review my account on the Simple English Wikipedia. During my six month absence, I have made over 1,000 contributions to the Simple English Wikipedia. According to this page, this means that I am in the top 0.1% of editors! I am aware that edit count is not everything, so I will briefly explain some of my contributions - I have reverted many bad faith edits using Twinkle, warned and reported those who broke rules, and nominated many articles for deletion (log found here). However, I have made even more contributions than this - I have created a few articles, performed copy editing on articles, welcomed new users, reverted good faith edits using detailed edit summaries, and expanded articles (example; check history to see my contributions). In addition, while editing on the Simple English Wikipedia, I have applied for and successfully earned rollbacker rights (verify). You can find my application here and an administrator accepting my request here. Having my application for rollbacker rights accepted means that I have made good contributions to the project and that I am in good standing with the admins on the Simple English Wikipedia. I have used the rollbacker right to help revert vandalism and other bad-faith edits. These contributions to the Simple English Wikipedia show that I can make constructive edits to the English Wikipedia. It also shows that I am interested in editing and that I will work hard to be able to have my editing rights returned. If I were to continue my past vandalism of Wikipedia projects, I would have likely created sockpuppet accounts and gotten blocked during these six months. However, I have been in good standing with the Simple English Wikipedia community during these six months - I would not want to ruin this by vandalizing and harming the project. If I had planned to continue my past vandalism, I would not have made over 1,000 edits to contribute to that project. In all, my contributions to the Simple English Wikipedia have shown that I can make constructive edits, as well as showing that I will not be planning to repeat my past vandalism.

In addition, I believe that I should be unblocked because of my work towards the unblocking process. Firstly, I have gone through the standard offer for appealing a block. During the six months I was absent, I have not edited the English Wikipedia, created a sock puppet account, evaded my block, or abused any other Wikimedia project. In the first paragraph, I explained my promise to avoid the behavior that led to my block. I wish to return to editing, so I would not repeat my past behavior. Lastly, I have tried to not give people a reason to object to my return. During my six month absence where I edited the Simple English Wikipedia, I have only made good-faith edits and have not abused any permission such as editing, twinkle, or the rollback feature. I believe that this has shown my intent to return to a good standing with the English Wikipedia. In the past, I attempted to use the 2nd chance template to get unblocked on my original account (found here). However, my attempt at using the 2nd chance template failed and I continued to make sock puppet accounts. The purpose of this template is for the blocked user to show how they can contribute to Wikipedia in a positive way before their unblock requests are further reviewed. While on the Simple English Wikipedia project, I improved this article. Before my contributions to that article, it used to be a stub article. I expanded the article, translated sections from the English Wikipedia with attribution, changed the structure of the article, added sources, links between articles, notes, and Wiktionary links. Soon, I plan on proposing this article for the good article status. I will continue to improve the article before making my proposal. You can view my contributions on the page's history. My improvements to this article show that I am able to contribute to Wikipedia, even after my past period of vandalism. Without my edits to the SCP Foundation article, it would have likely remained a stub article. My work towards the unblocking process shows that I am trying my best to have my editing permission returned. I have correctly waited out the standard offer's six months without making any edit or change to the English Wikipedia. While being absent for six months, I have still contributed to other Wikipedia projects which shows my ability to contribute towards building Wikipedia. In this unblock request, I have tried my best to explain how I have changed during these six months. Even if I had a hard time figuring out what to edit on the Simple English Wikipedia, I would still spend time reading articles and pages on both Wikipedia projects. Some of the content I read were explanatory essays and pages on policies and guidelines. This has helped me to build my knowledge of Wikipedia while waiting out the standard offer. Lastly, my time editing the Simple English Wikipedia has also taught me more about the editing process on both projects. I have learned about expanding articles with educational content, the creation and deletion of articles, participating in civil discussion alongside other volunteer editors, giving users warnings for creating harmful edits, and how to use tools such as twinkle and content translation. In all, I have pursued the standard offer and addressed its points, shown how I have changed during the six months, and how I create positive contributions to the English Wikipedia.

In conclusion, I should be eventually unblocked due to my work on the Simple English Wikipedia and because of my work towards the unblocking process. For the administrator reviewing my request, please review and examine what I have stated throughout this essay and some of the points being made. It is likely that more information or responses from me will be necessary to work towards becoming unblocked; therefore, if needed please start a discussion on my user talk page. I would much rather have a discussion with admins than getting this request denied and having to wait even more time. I believe that administrators reviewing this would also rather have this unblock request happen as well. According to the three strikes policy, I am also site banned by the English Wikipedia community due to abusing with five sock puppet accounts after the original block on my first account. Since I am banned from the community, this unblock request may need to be forwarded to the Administrators' noticeboard to allow for community vote and consensus regarding this request for unblock. In the future, if this request for unblock was successful, I would begin contributing positively to the English Wikipedia using my returned editing privileges.

Talk page headers[change source]

FYI, if there is nothing on a talk page, then there is no need to add the header. I blanked it completely due to vandalism. If something gets added that is discussion worthy and not vandalism, then it is ok to add it. Typically we don't create the talk page or even if created but blanked, we don't put the header on it.
