Users/IPs who have not edited should not be welcomed in case they are vandals–well, at least, that's the rule here at the simple English Wikipedia. --SEPTActaMTA8235 (talk) 20:50, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging talk page headers[change source]

Hey, thanks for your help so far. You don't need to worry about tagging talk page headers that nobody has ever edited before. That would take a really long time. Thanks, Kansan (talk) 19:04, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome.  :) This lousy T-shirt (talk) 19:06, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for a barnstar![change source]

The Barnstar Barnstar
For awarding me a barnstar, I give you this barnstar! Just make sure this doesn't become recursive! --SEPTActaMTA8235 (talk) 17:33, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A one-of-a-kind kind of Barnstar! It made me smile. STILL smiling. Thank you. This lousy T-shirt (talk) 02:26, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

welcoming?[change source]

the ip just blanked a page. --Snowhatqt (talk) 18:36, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1. It was a page the IP had made.[1] 2. The IP was correcting information on the page. They did not leave it blank.[2] 3. I do not want to remove the welcome template from their talk page after having welcomed them. That would be unkind. 4. Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia? NIV template[change source]

Just to let you know, the pages you are creating have an NIV template that doesn't currently exist on this wiki. Kansan (talk) 17:45, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. I'll fix that today as soon as I can. —This lousy T-shirt (talk) 17:50, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Would it be better to maybe move those articles into the userspace for simplification? We shouldn't have direct copy and pastes of en articles sitting in the main space.--Gordonrox24 | Talk 00:28, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll move the ones which haven't been simplified yet into my user space. It won't take me long to have them ready, though. It's my "Easter Weekend Project."  :) —This lousy T-shirt (talk) 01:04, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to hear it! I look forward to reading them later! Good luck! :) --Gordonrox24 | Talk 02:27, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! :D —This lousy T-shirt (talk) 17:18, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Charge of racism[change source]

What is racist about saying that watermelons are grown in southern Africa? That is the area of the world they're native to. Kansan (talk) 03:16, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The new change mentioned Africa and I wanted the page to avoid the "black people and watermelon" stereotype. I'm white and remembered the white settlement of Southern Africa afterwards. There's no bad motive behind my paranoia about racism. I honestly like other people and care about their feelings. —This lousy T-shirt (talk) 16:47, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's good to be sensitive over, but we also need to assume good faith, especially if it's factual content. Kansan (talk) 18:59, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Very true! —This lousy T-shirt (talk) 19:02, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Change summaries[change source]

Whatever you're doing with the change summaries to resource room, tone it down. I don't know what you're trying to prove or what statement you're trying to make there, but whatever it is, it is not an appropriate use of change summaries. Either way (talk) 02:09, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What's wrong is banned user Bambifan101 messed with me on English Wikipedia. I don't know if he's banned here, too, but he made some remarks about my reading comprehension skills. (And I already had two OTHER Wikistalkers). I'm able to put that aside and use appropriate change summaries, though. —This lousy T-shirt (talk) 02:27, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

RfD nomination of Template:V. C. Andrews[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of Template:V. C. Andrews, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Please comment on the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2019/Template:V. C. Andrews and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also change the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns. But you should not remove the requests for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you very much. Auntof6 (talk) 04:23, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
