Viktor Volodymyrovych Medvedchuk (Ukrainian: Ві́ктор Володи́мирович Медведчу́к; born 7 August 1954) is a Ukrainian politician, lawyer and business oligarch. On 12 April 2022, the Security Service of Ukraine arrested Medvedchuk. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy released a photo of Medvedchuk in handcuffs wearing a Ukrainian military uniform.
Later in 2022, he was sent from Ukraine to Russia.

He has been a member of the Verkhovna Rada since 29 August 2019.
In February 2021, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine sanctioned him and his wife for giving money that supported terrorism in Ukraine. In May 2021, he was accused of treason. Medvedchuk has been under house arrest since 13 May 2021.
On 8 March 2022, Medvedchuk was removed as co-chairman of the political party Opposition Platform — For Life.
He is [no longer] the chairman of the pro-Russia political organization Ukrainian Choice.
Some have called him "Putin's closest ally in Ukraine".
