Windows Server 2022 is an operating system and a version of Windows Server, developed by Microsoft. It announced at the Microsoft Build 2021 event on January 5, 2021. It is the successor of Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019. Microsoft says that they will end mainstream support for Windows Server 2022 on October 13, 2026 and will end extended support on October 14, 2031.

In January 2021, Microsoft announced Windows Server 2022 would be released in the beginning of 2021. On February 22, 2021, Microsoft announced that Windows Server 2022 would be released March 2 2021.
