September 2013[change source]

Your recent changes, like those you made to "Elton John", are vandalism, and this shows that you want to harm Wikipedia. This is your last warning. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from changing Wikipedia. TCN7JM 02:01, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the change, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I'm actually not sure if these changes that I reverted are constructive or not. If you think the changes were constructive, reply here or simply go to my talk page. Thank you. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 10:18, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It probably just looked like vandalism because the categories were being created as I went along87.114.23.90 (talk)
Okay. Thanks for that reply. Apologies for any other problems. It should be all good then otherwise. --~ curtaintoad ~~ talk ~ 10:40, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your new categories[change source]

Thank you for creating several new categories recently. You probably didn't know, but here on Simple English Wikipedia, we want at least three entries in each new category. Some of the categories you created have only one or two entries. Do you have more entries to put into these categories? If so, please add them soon so that the categories will not be deleted. If you create any more categories, please have at least three entries ready before you create them. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 02:28, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

sorry about that. I will make sure here are at least 3 in each.87.114.23.90 (talk) 09:54, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Then why have you created three more with fewer than three entries? Category:Gay men by occupation, Category:Gay men by country, and Category:Gay men from the United Kingdom each have fewer than three entries. --Auntof6 (talk) 20:10, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
a and b were parent categories and c now has 4 articles in it.87.114.23.90 (talk) 23:21, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Categories for people[change source]

You probably didn't know, but when we create categories for people, they are supposed to use the nationality, not the country name. For example, the new category "Gay men from Russia" should be called "Russian gay men". I will change the ones you already created, but if you create any more, please use the nationality. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 23:16, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I had just paterned them on Category:LGBT people from the United Kingdom and similar so had thought they would be ok.87.114.23.90 (talk) 23:19, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I meant to get to that sooner, but I didn't. Not your fault! --Auntof6 (talk) 23:47, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Lance Bass. However, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article, or any other Wikipedia page, must include proper sources. Thank you. Osiris (talk) 05:32, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for fixing those. Osiris (talk) 01:25, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Stephen Gately" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex and may have templates that do not exist here. Thank you. Osiris (talk) 05:36, 4 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 87.114.23.90. It looks like an article you created was derived from the English Wikipedia or another version of Wikipedia. If that is indeed the case, please make sure you add some form of attribution, either in your change summary or on the article's talk page. This must be done, even for derivative works, or the article will be deleted in time. More instructions on how to do this are at Wikipedia:Transwiki attribution. Thank you.
