For example, maintaining {{Article issues}}, adding {{Unsigned}}, fixing broken anchors, fixing lint errors, cleaning sandboxes, and more. Cewbot

Hi Kanashimi,

I've got a question about Cewbot. A few times, I've seen users vandalizing talk pages. If Cewbot signs their vandalism, it can't be removed using rollback, which makes it slightly more difficult to fix. See this diff for an example. I'm just wondering if it is possible to make it so the bot doesn't sign edits if they have blanking tags, or other vandalism related tags. Thanks! --Gordonrox24 | ^Talk 01:04, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

Cewbot

Is there any way to stop Cewbot from logging each post it signs? Sometimes the posts signed get revision deleted (see here for what I mean), and since the bot logs the same post, it stays up and defeats the point of deleting the revision. Incorrectly removing article issues still

Cewbot signing templates that don't need to be signed

Hello Kanashimi. I was doing a little bit of template substitution last night for the {{SharedIPAdvice}} template. This template does not need to be signed but Cewbot was marking me as unsigned. Signing templates that don't need to be signed

Hey Kanashimi, this issue is still happening. Did you ask the bot to ignore all edits with the tag "awb"? We don't have the tag for AWB here, we just have "using AWB" at the end of the edit summary, so that may be why Cewbot is still signing these edits where I am substituting the {{SharedIPAdvice}} template. Bad bot

You need to keep an eye on your bot. It just decided to sign wikignome work I was doing crediting me for someone else posts. Then warned me that I need to remember to sign my post. Which I didnt make... I had to go back and undo its edits. --Creol(talk) 06:09, 2 April 2022 (UTC)

Bot problems

Hello! It appears your bot might be a bit off when adding signatures. Your bot notified me that I needed to add my signature for three wiki talk pages when all I did was add a talk page header and an attribution template. Blocked proxy notices

Hi again, hope you are doing well. Cewbot keeps signing my proxy block notices. Twinkle doesn't sign these on purpose. Can you set up Cewbot here to remove interlanguage links? It would be helpful. I am a bit unsure about whether interlanguage links are allowed on this wikipedia, but if they aren't then the functionality would still be useful since it is a used template. Different issue with Cewbot

When I was looking at Cewbot's edits in Wikipedia namespace, I observed that it keeps adding and removing something on a few pages. Such as Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Current issues and requests archive 31 and Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2016/Template:Pokémon directory. Could you check this? Cewbot appears to be attempting to use english titles instead of simple english titles

I noticed on this page User:Cewbot/Interlanguage link templates need to fix that it seems many of the

The local title is different from the one given by the template parameters.

I am confused why some of the links are not being changed

Cewbot and capital letters

Would it be possible to trigger Cewbot to manually run at request?

I want to try to clear the backlog for User:Cewbot/Interlanguage link templates need to fix but it is difficult with not being able to track my progress. Capitalization issues not getting marked

I noticed that with the decapitalization issue izumo no kuni no miyatsuko is not listed as something that should be going to Izumo clan on the page User:Cewbot/Interlanguage link templates need to fix. The bot currently only checks pages in Category:Interlanguage link template existing link. To check pages containing pages like Mimi and Mi, we might need to include all pages containing ill, but this would create an excessive workload. Kanashimi (talk) 23:16, 8 October 2025 (UTC)

Would it be easy to make it run once as though every transclusion of ill had that category just so we could test to see the damage that occurred due to the decapitalization? I think most of the pages have been fixed. But there are a couple still like previously List of Wikipedias which had a lot of links simply get broken over it and I only recently fixed it.
