how was your Holiday Season
Hey TDKR Chicago: how was your Christmas and New Years? Angela Maureen (talk) 12:47, 2 January 2018 (UTC)
He just letting you know I removed the statement saying "Trump's decision, eventually led to a federal government shutdown lasting from January 20, 2018 to January 22, 2018." As yes he did rescind it but it didn't DACA did not cause the government to shutdown, just the people in congress not being to be able to agree on anything. I removed that statement as I kind of found it misleading. Also I recommend when putting something as controversial as that, put some citations/references in their, I thought I would just let you know. --Clarkcj12 (talk) 04:57, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- Also by including the statement it did make it sound kind of biased. I am not trying to bash you, just letting you know some helpful advice. I do appreciate however all of the Politcs articles that you are creating though thank you. --Clarkcj12 (talk) 04:59, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Clarkcj12:: Nono I perfectly understand it and appreciate it thank you! --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 22:58, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
do you think the Democrats are gonna win
Do you think the Democrats are gonna be the winners this year? Do you think they're gonna beat the Republicans in 2018? Angela Maureen (talk) 03:39, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
Happy Easter 2018
Hey TDKR: What are you gonna do this Easter Sunday? Are you gonna have a family reunion? Will you have dinner? I'm gonna be with my sisters for Easter. Angela Maureen (talk) 07:58, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

Melania Trump's surgery
TDKR, please read sources carefully so that you don't put incorrect information in articles. You said that Mrs. Trump had cyst-removal surgery, but that's not what the source said. In fact, no news source I've seen or heard was specific about why the surgery was needed. I've updated the article. Let me know if you have any questions. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:30, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
Mother's Day 2018
Hey TDKR: How was your Mother's Day? Angela Maureen (talk) 14:26, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
Gardner Dozois
I'm seeing a lot of word of mouth that Gardner Dozois died, but I'm not finding it in a reliable source. Have you seen anything about this? Enwiki reports that he died, but with no source. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:56, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Auntof6:: I'm not getting any reliable sources. The only source I found was: -> [1]. Should we update the article here to reflect his "death" like the English Wiki or wait for a reliable obit? --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 05:01, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
- I'd wait. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:03, 28 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Auntof6:: Will do. This source just come out but it's in Italian. Is it reliable? -> [2] --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 06:43, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

- IMO, that's reliable.--Auntof6 (talk) 22:10, 28 May 2018 (UTC)

Did you hear that Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade killed themselves recently? Have you known anyone with depression? I was depressed between August 2006 and November 2010. But I survived it. Angela Maureen (talk) 08:39, 10 June 2018 (UTC)
Czterdziestolatek
Hi, TDKR. Would you please check your recent articles to be sure the language is simple enough? Remember that part of simple language is using simple sentence structure. I simplified some of yours recently, and the new one Czterdziestolatek is not simple. The first and second paragraphs are each one long sentence which should be divided. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:27, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
DYK question
Hi, I was wondering when the next time the DYK will be Updated is. I recently submitted a fact from Coca-Cola, which got successfully accepted. When would it be on the front page? Thank you ⇒ Lucie Person (talk) 23:10, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Lucie Person:: Hi! I'm so very glad someone is making fresh nominations! You see I would normally update DYK but I was told I couldn't anymore because I was the only one updated my own hooks. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 04:33, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- @TDKR Chicago 101: Thanks. Is there anyone else updating it? ⇒ Lucie Person (talk) 22:21, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- TDKR, you can update the queues if none of your own hooks are involved and someone other than you has approved them. We just want the updating, nominating, and approving done by different people. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:36, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
Simplifying
When you write about politicians, it would be simpler language to say something like "He was the President of Paraguay from 1998 until 1999" instead of "He served as the President of Paraguay from 1998 until 1999". Yes, being in an elected office is service, but our readers are much more likely to know the verb be than the verb serve. Can you please use the simpler wording? --Auntof6 (talk) 09:40, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- I see you're still doing this, for example in Ro Khanna. Please use the simpler wording. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 06:21, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

Your Articles
Hello, well first considering the number of days I have been here and the edits done as compared to you, I may not be the right person to offer this advise. But let me say it motherless.
Thank you for the countless articles you have created. They are pretty much well done and insightful. However, I have noticed that in most of the articles (of deceased people) you have created, you don't include Death subtitles to sentences where the time of one's death occurred. I feel it will be a great deal of help to Wikipedia to put those subtitle requirements as it shows the persons lifetime. I have made such subtitles to the ones I found created without death subtitles.
I hope this will be in order in your next creations.
Regards MyPeople76 (talk) 20:32, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- @MyPeople76:: Thank you for the kind words! The reason why I don't place subtitles is because I feel that the information given is too little to be placed under subtitles. For example, I saw in Denholm Elliott's article or Leonard Cohen's article needed a death subtitle because the article itself already has other subtitles and also it has more information on the death subject rather than: [Name] died on January 1, 2019 from pneumonia in London, aged 77. I found in that case like: Masahiko Tsugawa there is little info to create a subtitle. That could just be me, but I'll certainly keep that in mind. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 20:38, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- @TDKR Chicago 101: Great. I saw the length of articles. I presume that's why you added stubs to them. Though I feel it helps having that subtitle if an article is atleast 4-5 sentences in between its introduction. Going forward, I will try to improve the ones I find than leaving unattended MyPeople76 (talk) 20:50, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
Once again, thank you for creating 2018 Horizon Air Q400 incident. We need to put more recent news articles on here. I found the perpetrator Richard Russell did not here in the early today and made it. I hope to learn more from you. Best regards MyPeople76 (talk) 01:55, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
Donald Trump
If you're going to tag this article as needing update, could you indicate somehow (maybe on the talk page) what it is that needs updating? Otherwise, there are so many possibilities that people might not know where to start. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 09:51, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
John McCain edit
Just FYI, this edit you made put the article in a maintenance category. I fixed it, but you might want to make sure parameters you add aren't already there. --Auntof6 (talk) 07:14, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
About the National Museum of Brazil fire.
Hello TDKR Chicago 101, how are you? I saw that you started the page about the fire here, so I'd like to ask: may you also help to translate the (https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:Comunicado_sobre_o_Museu_Nacional/en) to Simple English? Thanks, Erick Soares3 (talk) 11:51, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
Hurricane Florence 2018
Hey TDKR: Are you praying for those people in North and South Carolina as Hurricane Florence brings herself ashore? I feel really bad for those people in the Southeast as that storm hits them hard. This hurricane could cause damage similar to Ike ten years ago. Angela Maureen (talk) 06:18, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi, TDKR. I noticed that you recently created this category, and categorized it into Category:Deprecated parameters. However, the alma_mater parameter is not deprecated. There are parameters that are not deprecated that are tracked via categories like this. (Don't ask me why they're tracked -- I have no idea!) When creating this kind of category, please make sure the parameter is actually deprecated before putting its category in the deprecated parameter category. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 09:13, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Template:Annual readership
I noticed that you added this template to a number of talk pages. Is this something you plan to put on a lot of talk pages, or that you think we should all be adding? If so, maybe you could discuss so that people know if it's expected. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 00:32, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Auntof6: Yes I the purpose of the readership is to have almost all article talk page to have them so we can track the viewership and trends of the article. I grew to admire the usage it had on the English and was curious to apply it here. I will personally begin the long process of adding it to all talk pages that have been created or should be created. It would be great for other users to do the same because at the English Wikipedia, almost all article talk pages have them. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 03:36, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- Then, for now, please stop adding these and get consensus that this is something we want here. Keep in mind that it creates a new maintenance burden for everyone, not just you. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:34, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Auntof6: I apologize and I hope you or the community know that I added those templates here because I just wanted to improve the community. I had good heart in doing this, and as reflected in my 15,000 articles I only want to improve the community. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 05:32, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, I think you do some good work here. I'm not saying we shouldn't use this template, just that if it's going to become standard we should discuss it to make sure everyone is on the same page. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:46, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

- I was just about to come here and say the same thing, we don't tag talk pages of articles here like they do on en. So creating talk pages just to put a template like this on would be against prior consensus. I don't really have an issue with it being on already created talk pages, but that is a slippery slope usually. -DJSasso (talk) 10:59, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
About Deaths in 2018
Hello, The two people are dead and you wait the next day ?! Remove the portrait of Aznavour ?! What if you put pictures the next day? All is too big, then?
Maybe when putting this code [[File:Charles Aznavour cropped.jpg|thumb|right|65px|{{center|[[Charles Aznavour]]<br>1924 – 2018}}]]
until tomorrow we will not have the impression of vandalism. The next day you may be doing otherwise or you will separate the spacing of the text. No ?
Best regards. --Eihel (talk) 01:12, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
- If you see the other Deaths in <insert January-September month> 2018 you see that I always put images when there is sufficient entries so the format perfectly fits. Don't worry Mr. Aznavour will be added. Believe me. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 01:14, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Hi, TDKR. I noticed that you recently created this template. There are some issues with it:
- The output on the page is abbreviations that won't make sense to our readers. Remember that people who don't know English well also won't know what abbreviations of English words mean.
- It assigns categories with names that aren't meaningful (for example, Category:M w and Category:M ww).
One minor thing: when you bring a template here from enwiki, please also bring its doc page.
Because of these issues, I have removed the template from the two pages that were using it. Can you suggest text that would be meaningful when displayed on a page, and category names that would be meaningful? --Auntof6 (talk) 07:29, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
Improper move
You made an improper move by recreating the article and a redirect instead of simply using the page move button. This has the effect of obscuring the article GFDL history of previous editors. Someone who knows what they are doing will now have to clean up behind you. Til Eulenspiegel (talk) 13:48, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Til Eulenspiegel: It is not improper if the majority of the articles relating to the subject is titled "Sahle-Work Zewde". And please be more respectful and not rude. Any other issues there are more editors who "knows what they are doing" go to the English Wikipedia talk page, here I'll give you the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Sahle-Work_Zewde --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 17:16, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- Please pay attention to what I just said. Re-read it again if you have to . Simply put I was referring to your improper method of recreating the article and a redirect, instead of simply using the page move button. This is indeed improper, as it split the previous contributors between two different GFDLs that have to be merged by an admin now . I am aware that the hyphen is OK. Til Eulenspiegel (talk)
- @Til Eulenspiegel: Once again please be respectful not rude. You see I tried doing so but it did not work. This happened: I tried to move Sahlework Zewde to Sahle-Work Zewde, but since the article with the name "Sahle-Work Zewde" was created it would not let me move the information from the page Sahlework Zewde to Sahle-Work Zewde because "an article with that name has already been created". Frustratingly tedious it is. --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 17:37, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, Wikipedia is frustrating sometimes. Usually if the only thing there is a redirect creation it allows anyone to delete it, but maybe not Til Eulenspiegel (talk) 17:45, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- TDKR, If you have this kind of issue again, please contact an admin to do the move for you. Admins can do such moves even when a page already exists at the desired new name. That is much easier than having to do the merge afterward. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:27, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
