Tagging of articles for quick deletion[change source]

I have to ask that you refer to our policy about quick deletion. The problem with the reasons that you have provided so far ("unnecessary page", "short article") are that they are not valid reasons based on our policy, and are also subjective (e.g. who determines how short is short?). Please familiarise yourself with the list of quick deletion reasons before you continue tagging any more articles. Thanks. Chenzw  Talk  15:10, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I added {{delete}} to them because they are unnecessary or short. I'll read this page. Psl85 Talk 15:13, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Again, the reasons you are giving when you tag articles for quick deletion are invalid. Please familiarise yourself with the quick deletion policy, which says exactly what reasons are acceptable when tagging an article for quick deletion. Chenzw  Talk  15:27, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. I'll check this page BEFORE tagging anymore pages for deletion. Psl85 Talk 16:22, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

I want to put it on record here that you have no good reason to ignore my earlier message from 27 February. I shouldn't have to tell you twice to read policy. Taking your editing history on the English Wikipedia into consideration, if you are to continue with this attitude towards advice from other users then I am afraid your time on this Wikipedia may be very short indeed. Chenzw  Talk  01:03, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have read this policy, and followed the rules in the page. Psl85 Talk 03:48, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Can I move the request for page protection page to a single page?[change source]

Hello. I planned to move the request for page protection page to a single page. Can I do it? Psl85 Talk 08:24, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice: Quick deletion request on Comparison of web browsers[change source]

An editor asked for quick deletion on Comparison of web browsers. If you want to keep it, please add {{wait}} below it. Psl85 Talk 10:36, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You may have accidentally given a notice to yourself. Vermont | reply here 10:47, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I warned myself because an another editor tagged the page with {{delete}}. Psl85 Talk 10:49, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay...Well, please don't make more redirects like that. Vermont | reply here 10:52, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, i will not make these redirect pages to en wiki.

Hi, Psl85. I declined your QD request on this page. You might not have known, but articles about settlements need very little information to show notability -- they pretty much only need to say that the place exists. Of course, we'd like there to be more information, but it isn't required. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about this. --Auntof6 (talk) 06:58, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, the page was very short, i requested deletion because the article was short. Psl85 Talk 07:03, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Being short isn't a reason to delete any article. The description of the "little or no meaning" QD option even says "Having a small amount of content is not a reason to delete if it has useful information.". --Auntof6 (talk) 07:16, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Uhhh..., ok, but I do not want tag the page with {{delete}} if it have good info. Psl85 Talk 07:20, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There have been occasions when I have removed your QD notices and reverts as well. Please be more careful when you are editing. Vermont | reply here 10:43, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I will be even more careful when changing, and I try to not get blocked from editing. Psl85 Talk 10:52, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request semi-protection on my userpage[change source]

Hello. Can protection of userpages be requested within own userspace? I requesting semi-protection on my userpage to prevent IP users from changing my userpage. Psl85 Talk 19:51, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

One might say that Giraffegamer13's edits were questionable, but it would be a stretch to call them "vandalism". In fact, I wouldn't consider them vandalism at all. Please be sure to assume good faith. Thank you. Chenzw  Talk  16:21, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Okay..., there was many content addition, i will not make this anymore, I will assume good faith, and only revert when there is complete vandalism. Psl85 Talk 16:27, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Reverts can also be made when changes make the text more complex, or worse in any way. A person can have the intent of improving a page, but in fact make the page worse for our readers. Assuming good faith just means that you don't accuse them of vandalism: it doesn't mean their edits should stand unchanged. Cases which raise a question, but you are not quite sure, can be raised with an admin or other experienced editor. Macdonald-ross (talk) 13:34, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your warning to 192.234.160.243[change source]

When you warn users, it's usually best to stick with the wording in the standard messages. When you add comments like "Vandalizing one of the most critical pages on the simple english wikipedia. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE," it can just make things worse. See WP:DENY for more on this subject. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:41, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I warned the user because the user vandalized one of the most critical pages on the simple english wikipedia. I have more better comments. Thanks for leaving a message to me :) Psl85 Talk 13:22, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Still issues with your QD requests[change source]

I declined your QD request on Earwax because there was definitely enough meaning there to keep the article. The QD option for "little or no meaning" does not mean that it's for short articles. Remember that we have no minimum size for articles, so please don't nominate any more just because they seem too short. You've been told this before. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:53, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

requesting adminship[change source]

Psl85 is currently being considered for adminship. To see the discussion and give your opinion, please visit Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Psl85.

Hello. I thinking to request adminship, I are now more experienced and made more than 500 changes. Link to this request: WP:Requests for adminship/Psl85 Psl85 Talk 19:55, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Psl85: You cannot request rights by posting about it on your own talk page. You have to create the request page (which I see you have done) and link to it on the main request page. That's where people will see it and make comments. I will let you figure out how to do that, because someone who wants to be an admin should be able to figure it out on their own. --Auntof6 (talk) 21:04, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have created a request page, and I requested adminship because I are now more experienced, helping the wiki and fixing vandalism. Click on the link above to find my request. Psl85 Talk 13:41, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) No, you cannot expect to just tell others to click the link. If you want to request adminship, you have to follow instructions on Wikipedia:Requests for permissions. An editor who wants to be an admin is expected to be able to follow those instructions on their own. Chenzw  Talk  13:46, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

checkY I followed the instructions on the requests for permissions page, and added my request there. Psl85 Talk 13:51, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your revert on Simple English Chaos Theory[change source]

Hi, in regards to the reversion of my change on this Simple English page, could you please provide an explanation of why? In the "New member introduction" email you sent, you provided links to wikipedia guidelines as well as Simple English guidelines. As a contributing member of multiple years, I am pretty familiar with Wikipedia guidelines in general, though I had never expressly read through the Simple English guidelines. Could you please tell me what was wrong about the link I made to the simple english page for "Supercomputer?"Jtrnp (talk) 20:27, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE:

Lacking any response from you after 4 days and after objectively analyzing the legitimacy of my change (which you reverted as "vandalism", and sent me a message welcoming me to Wikipedia, despite me being a 12 year's active member), and verifying that it is within both the guidelines of Wikipedia, as well as those of Simple English's goal, I will be re-adding my change, as it serves to enhance any reader's understanding of the article and improves upon the current content of the page.

As a side note, given the lack of standard Wikipedia procedure observed in your invocation of "vandalism" claims in response to my objectively legitimate article improvement, as well as the numerous other apparent repeated breaches of Wikipedia protocol about which your superiors have repeatedly called attention to, I truly your moderation abilities and sincerely hope that you are working to gain a better understanding of the core principles that have made Wikimedia the wonderful group of communities and collection of resources that it is.Jtrnp (talk) 07:42, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) The user is not a moderator. No position of "moderator" exists on Wikipedia. Chenzw  Talk  07:49, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback[change source]

Hello, Psl85. You have new messages at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions.
Message added 13:59, 8 March 2018 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

I added a request to thie request page instead of on my talk page Psl85 Talk 13:59, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

First, please do not leave block notices. The blocking admin will decide whether to leave such notices. Second, you don't need to change other editors' user pages at all. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:51, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, i leaved a block notice because the user was blocked, I will not change other editor's userpages without leaving an edit summary. Psl85 Talk 18:53, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm saying you shouldn't change others' user pages at all, with or without an edit summary. User talk pages are OK, just not user pages. --Auntof6 (talk) 19:13, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I WILL NOT CHANGE ANY OTHER USER PAGE THAN MINE. Psl85 Talk 19:16, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Account locked[change source]

As you probably realise, your account has been globally locked (which means you are not able to login) because you revealed your account password in public. This account is now compromised, and there is no way for us to verify that you are indeed who you are even if we unlock this account and you log back in.

If you wish to continue to contribute to Wikipedia, you will have to create a new account. Chenzw  Talk  12:55, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have created an new account, Psl631. Can an bureaucrat merge my old edit history to my new account? I will not reveal my password to the public. Psl631 (talk) 15:17, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Accounts cannot be merged. Chenzw  Talk  15:19, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Does this mean this account will no longer revert my legitimate and productive edits, flagging them as vandalism?Jtrnp (talk) 07:56, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jtrnp: This account can't edit here any more. However, a new account has been created claiming to be the same person, and that account can edit. --Auntof6 (talk) 08:06, 11 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
