1924 Winter Olympics
The 1924 Winter Olympics, officially known as the I Olympic Winter Games, were held in 1924 in Chamonix, Haute-Savoie, France between 25 January and 5 February 1924. At first, the games were called Semaine Internationale des Sports d'Hiver ("International Winter Sports Week") and were held as part of the 1924 Summer Olympics. It was later decided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that the Games would be called the I Olympic Winter Games.
