Quick deletion criteria[change source]

Hello! You may want to take a look at the quick deletion criteria so you can make quick deletion requests instead of requests for deletion where it is possible. Your recent request for deletion (Wikipedia:Requests for deletion/Requests/2021/Kolektyvizacija) was closed quickly as it could be quickly deleted, so please check the quick deletion criteria before sending a page to RfD. Thanks, :) --Belwine (talk) 15:27, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Belwine: Ah, alright. Thanks for letting me know! Fixing26 (talk) 15:30, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[change source]

@Fixing26: Thank you, Mr. Fixing 26! For connecting my recently created Wikipedia articles with other language wikis through wikidata. I know these through a notification I received recently. Haoreima (talk) 15:57, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No problem! Great job with your articles by the way, keep it up! Fixing26 (talk) 16:01, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

June 2021[change source]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make helpful changes to the encyclopedia. You may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to keep the encyclopedia looking neat and professional. Using different styles in the encyclopedia, as you did to "Template:Christian_Peoples_Alliance/meta/color", can make it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about changing this encyclopedia. Thank you. When you make templates, especially those that use color, you must follow the guidelines found in the MOS linked above. As a worldwide project, we have to be ADA accessible and the colors you chose are not accessible to those with poor vision or colorblind. PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 16:24, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@PotsdamLamb: Hi there, the template uses a similar format to others in that category. I'm not entirely sure how I could change it to help those with colour blindness when viewing such a template. Would you mind advising me on how to do so? Thanks, Fixing26 (talk) 16:29, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well I guess so. I will have to bring this up on simple and see what others think as a lot of them are not using appropriate colors. I guess just leave it as is for now. Thanks, PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 16:31, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, sounds great. Fixing26 (talk) 16:34, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I started the discussion. It is at Wikipedia:Simple_talk#Colors_for_templates. Thanks, PDLTalk to me!OMG, What have I done? 16:46, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I'll keep an eye on it. Fixing26 (talk) 16:50, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, Fixing26! Here are a few good ideas that you can use to help making articles in the future:

  • If the article that you made is under 1,500 characters, please add the {{stub}} template into the article near the end (below the "Other websites" section, and below any categories). This will let other editors know that it is a short article that needs to be made longer.
  • If you have no idea what categories an article that you begin should go under, please add the {{uncat}} template to the article. This will let other editors know that you need help categorizing the article properly.

Thanks for reading this long message, and happy changing here on Simple English Wikipedia! 45.129.186.84 (talk) 23:31, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My mistake, I forgot to add such - I was looking to see if there was a rail-related stub template, forgot what I was looking for midway through. Thanks for informing me nevertheless Fixing26 (talk) 23:40, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

See also[change source]

Hello. When creating articles, please use "Related pages" instead of "See also". Thanks! --Ferien (talk) 13:43, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, alrighty. Fixing26 (talk) 13:44, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for noticing me. I really appreciate it! Cheers, Hockeycatcat (talk) 08:32, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, no problem - thanks for fixing my typo. Fixing26 (talk) 08:33, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question[change source]

Hello Fixing26, I am Space chinedu and I part of the Wikiprojects I would like to know the kind articles you like editing the most whether it's about space or just fine literature so that I can recommend a Wikiproject for you. But if you feel like you don't want to just let me know. But before you make a decision I would like to tell you what a Wikiproject is all about. A Wikiproject is like a small community within Wikipedia that focuses on a particular area and work together as a team to achieve what they want because one person can't do it alone so we work together to make simple wikipedia better through the projects Space chinedu (talk) 04:53, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I'm aware of WikiProjects, but haven't decided to join any yet. The main topics I edit/intend on editing on Wikipedia are either UK-related or related to UK and US political history. Fixing26 (talk) 10:01, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

July 2021[change source]

@Fixing26: Thank you for your help on the RFD discussion page for the proposed new Freedom Haven page. How can a page get created on WikiPedia for a verifiable subject that isn't popular yet? Does WikiPedia merely reflect what is already popular in media, or is it enough that it's true? What's the path to creating a page that isn't popular?TonyOlsen (talk) 00:14, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm guessing (though correct me if I'm wrong) by popular you mean has coverage that determines notability. A subject needs verifiable secondary sources to show it needs a page on the Wikipedia. There are other ways of determining notability by different subjects, but from what I'm aware Freedom Haven wouldn't fit any of the requirements (though I may be wrong).
Something can be verifiable and still not notable enough for Wikipedia. Fixing26 (talk) 11:19, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nominated for adminship[change source]

You have been nominated for adminship. See Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Fixing26 please take a look and decide whether to accept or decline your nomination. Good look! Thegameshowlad (talk) 20:54, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Thegameshowlad: I appreciate this nomination, but I think it's a bit fast-paced. Fixing26 (talk) 21:02, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is an odd case, not something that usually happens. You could probably request deletion per G6 and move on without it should you choose, I would think. --Gordonrox24 | Talk 21:11, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've done so, cheers for the help. Fixing26 (talk) 21:15, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dove Windsor[change source]

Please do not add the tag, I'm adding reliable sources. When you see a template saying in use, it says do not edit while the creator is editing, understand? --82.23.69.143 (talk) 00:09, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, you are not meant to remove the qd tag without good reason. You can add a wait template and explain why you believe the qd is not necessary. Fixing26 (talk) 00:10, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why did I have to add this redirect when the title is the same?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Thegameshowlad (talkcontribs) 13:24, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It appears the title had a different version of apostrophe (') than other pages. Fixing26 (talk) 13:49, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary protection request[change source]

Hello.

Can you temporarily protect the articles Tricolour and Dolma, because an IP 185.135.96.2 is constantly POV pushing and edit warring with other IP users and also administrators/rollbackers. Edit warring has occurred in these two articles before, presumably with the same IP user.

Yours sincerely, Multituberculata (talk) 20:08, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm not an admin. To request protection for pages, go to the admin noticeboard. Fixing26 (talk) 20:10, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the advice. Multituberculata (talk) 20:12, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV question[change source]

The user @Etoza who is against circumcison have a big problem wit the page and claimed the page are not neutral, but this Article is not a Pro-Circ Page as the user @Etoza claimed.

So why you changend it back in not neutral article?###

--Nalanidil (talk) 14:45, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

From reading over the article, it doesn't appear to be neutral. See WP:Neutral point of view, which, in summary, says that Wikipedia articles should not have information that favours one side. I suggest you discuss the matter on the talk page or try improve the page, and establish a consensus as to what to do. Fixing26 (talk) 14:49, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
which side is favoured? under benefits and critsim in this article, you can see the different minds about the topic? ##Hello???##

--Nalanidil (talk) 14:51, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Etoza outlines the issues with neutral point of view on the page. It may presents both sides, but presents one side a lot more than the other - which isn't a neutral point of view. Fixing26 (talk) 14:53, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please , please read the aricle...benefits and critisms...both side are mentioned, pro and against...so what is the problem with @etoza...## read it please...##--Nalanidil (talk) 14:56, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

┌─────────────┘
I understand you see it that way. As I said, it mentions both but presents one side a lot more than the other (it gives more benefits than issues). This is not neutral.

I'll give you another example to help you see what I mean. If there were an article about an election, and I wrote about the policies from different parties, but presented 50 arguments that say why Party A is better than Party B and only one about why Party B is better than Party A, it wouldn't be neutral point of view.

Also, as a note, please could you put your comments out using : (the colon), to help my talk page look cleaner. Fixing26 (talk) 15:00, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see any preference for either side in the circumcision article. This Page has a neutral view. But from what the user @etoza writes, you can see his full intention of what he is really interested in.--Nalanidil (talk) 15:36, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please see the notice I left on your talk page about assuming good faith. Fixing26 (talk) 15:38, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you so interested in 7/7? it’s about of a dull subject to be interested in! — Cheers TGSL (Leave me a message) 15:48, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I just think it's quite an important historical event in the UK's history. I'm also (eventually) trying to go for GA/VGA status once I've fully proofread it through and fixed any minor errors I spot. Fixing26 (talk) 15:50, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sadly it is, it happened 2 years before I was born so I don’t remember it! Lookily things like that don’t happen any more as the conflict seems to have ended! — Cheers TGSL (Leave me a message) 15:51, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it's very much fortunate but something that we need remember nevertheless. Fixing26 (talk) 15:52, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure about your interaction with this guy. Darubrub (Let me know) 15:53, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I just noticed. I wasn't entirely sure why it was being reverted before, but I stopped after noticing some of his now more suspicious activity. I'll try keep a better eye out in the future. Fixing26 (talk) 15:55, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have told him that i have reported him to the police for harassment. Have emailed you the exact details as i don't want him to see them — Cheers TGSL (Leave me a message) 16:24, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why what happened? — Cheers TGSL (Leave me a message) 16:26, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

against roma people?[change source]

Strange that you want delete an article who is important for romani culture

What is your reason for?

But this is always the same, anything what is written about roma people, would be deleted. So i delete itself...

you can be happy yet.

--Nalanidil (talk) 00:11, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I requested quick deletion of your article per Wikipedia's quick deletion policy. I nominated it for A4, meaning that it either didn't say it was notable or backup its claim to notability.
To serve you a reminder, please assume good faith. When someone like myself asks for deletion or find an issue with an article and note it, we're just trying to help Wikipedia. Fixing26 (talk) 10:51, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fixing26, There was absolutely no reason to delete the page that showed an interesting topic about Roma people culture.

--Nalanidil (talk) 11:24, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Something being interesting is not a reason for it to stay on Wikipedia - notability is needed.
If you think the page should be undeleted, request an admin to look at it at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. Fixing26 (talk) 11:41, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fixing26, no, sure of course not...firstly, the page is deleted yet, and there was no reason for it, secondly i see what is going on, im here since 2016, but yet so much new user came and made this whole category in there own way. --Nalanidil (talk) 11:50, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The admin deleted it as you either blanked or requested deletion of it.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the second part in regards to categories, as it doesn't appear to make sense. Fixing26 (talk) 11:53, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Of course because you made the start of request to delete the article. But enough...yet you can be happy the page is gone... --Nalanidil (talk) 12:37, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fixing26, I don't know what your reasons were against an article about Devla, the name for God in the Romani language. In my opinion, a page about Romani mythology was a very interesting component. In other languages of wikipedia, no pages about roma mythology were deleted, so it's just your personal argument against a page here.

Then you wonder why I feel me undesirable and not welcomed? But I shouldn't really be surprised.

Maybe you are now satisfied that you managed to drive me away from simple english wikipedia.

--Nalanidil (talk) 09:40, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's unfortunate you feel this way. I'd like to reassure you that your contributions are welcome, but there are certain guidelines Wikipedians should abide by when contributing. Fixing26 (talk) 10:56, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

August 2021[change source]

It looks like you are in an edit war. Take care, because the three-revert rule does not let users make more than three reverts on a single page in a single day. Any user may still be blocked for edit warring and disruption, even if they haven't broken the three-revert rule. When you disagree with another user, you should first try to talk about changes in order to work together to improve Wikipedia and reach consensus. If you continue to disrupt the page, you may be blocked from changing Wikipedia. Morneo06 (talk) 20:30, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm aware. I'll be careful - the user seems to be removing information without reason. I at first assumed good faith and didn't warn them (as they were removing information but also adding a map that likely better shows Indian borders), but I reverted and warned them after they stopped doing so. Fixing26 (talk) 20:33, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I should add on, the two reversions were of different comment than the one after. The third revert was vandalism, as it was unexplained removal of fine content after assumptions of good faith. Fixing26 (talk) 20:41, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Theodore Herman Wolf[change source]

I wonder what convinced you this was a spoof? There is the gravestone pictured. Macdonald-ross (talk) 06:53, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There's a gravestone yes, but I can't find anything online - the gravestone might be by someone who coincidentally has the same name/some other similar case. The page appears to be have been made before. Online, the only records that show Wolf exists are on wikis/s. Find A Grave is similar, it is user-generated in a fashion like a wiki.
