Halifax, legally known as the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), is the capital of the province of Nova Scotia, in Canada. The population of the Halifax region was 439,819 in the year 2021.[2]

On 6 December 1917, about 2,000 people were killed in the Halifax Explosion.
