Naruhito, Crown Prince of Japan is the heir to the Japanese Imperial throne and eldest son of Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan. He is known as simply the Crown Prince. He was originally known as His Imperial Highness The Prince Hiro but was later given the title of Crown Prince in 1991.

His father Emperor Akihito announced in December 2017 that he will abdicate on 30 April 2019, thus marking Naruhito as the soon to be Emperor.[1]

Naruhito and his wife Masako has one child. Namely Aiko, Princess Toshi.
