Creating the "List of people from ____________" articles. They are not notable unless every person meets the Biography of Living Persons policy. Thank you! Krett12 (talk) 15:56, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

October 2015[change source]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Alexander Gould. However, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article, or any other Wikipedia page, must include proper sources. Thank you. User:Rus793 (talk) 14:37, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the change, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but "Baden, St. Louis" was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 17:16, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

South Amboy, New Jersey[change source]

Thank you for creating this article. I'd like to point out a couple of problems with it:

  • It looks like it was based on an article from another Wikipedia. When you do that, and you remove some text, you need to be sure you haven't removed reference definitions. If you look at the references in this article, you see several that say something like "Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; no text was provided for refs named". That happens when there are named references and you have removed the part of the article that defines the reference. Before saving articles, please preview them to be sure there are none of this kind of error.
  • Speaking of the references, there is no reference section. Even though the references appear anyway, it needs to have a reference section with a heading and the {{reflist}} template so that we can control where the references appear.

Please remember to check these things when you create articles. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 03:00, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Categories for American people by national descent[change source]

Hello, IP editor. Thank you for your work here. I saw that you created several of categories for people by national origin. You probably didn't know, but we don't use this kind of category. That decision was made by this RfD. The categories you created will be deleted. Please don't create any more of them. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 18:04, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

January 2016[change source]

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Adam Hicks. Thank you. His religion has not been established by a reliable source or sources. The category can't be used until it is properly established. If you want to add the information to the body of the article, then make sure it is cited with a reliable source. User:Rus793 (talk) 20:00, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Articles need to show notability[change source]

Thank you for your work here. You might not have known, but articles here need to show that their subject is notable according to Wikipedia's definition of notability. Some of the articles you created recently (for example, You Really Got Me, Clint Howard, and Philip Bolden) did not show notability, so unfortunately they have been deleted. You are welcome to create them again if you include information that shows notability. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about this. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:20, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

March 2016[change source]

Please do not copy content and templates from the English Wikipedia en masse. We are not meant to be a mirror of the English Wikipedia. Chenzw  Talk  17:04, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last chance to stop adding content from enwiki without simplifying it.
Next, you'll be temporarily blocked from editing and all your addition deleted in mass.

New templates[change source]

I noticed that you created some new navigational templates today. I also noticed that each of them is used only on one page, the same page. When you create a template, please be sure to do the following:

  • Use each one in multiple articles right away. The purpose of navigational templates is to let readers easily go between related pages. If the template isn't used on all the pages that it links to, it isn't doing what it's meant to and could be deleted.
  • Make sure the links in the template match the pages here. These templates are all related to movies, and appear to have been copied from English Wikipedia ("enwiki"). On enwiki, they use the term "film" where we use the term "movie". To see what I'm talking about, look at Template:H-B films. There are links to "Charlotte's Web (1973 film)" and "Yogi Bear (film)". We have those articles, but with qualifiers of "movie" instead of "film". There are several other links using "film" for movies that we don't have pages for. All those links should use "movie" instead of "film". That is partly so that the link is not red if we have the article, and partly so that the link will be bold and not clickable when the template is used on the article.
  • Use the categories that we have here. We don't have the same categories as enwiki. We have fewer categories, partly because that is simpler. Before saving a template, look to see if any of the categories are red links; if they are, change them to be categories that we have here.

Thanks, and feel free to ask if you have any questions about this. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:44, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
