Do we really need all these categories for movies?[change source]

Not complaining, just wondering why we need so many.--Derpdart56 (talk) 14:35, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for asking, I promise not to add any more.Cwf97 (talk) 14:38, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) I don't see a problem with these. They are encyclopedic, and enwiki has corresponding categories. Speaking of enwiki's categories, if you're not already doing so, please remember to anything you create to the corresponding entry in Wikidata -- just be sure it's an exact match. I have an explanation of how to do this at User:Auntof6/How to#Interwiki language links for new pages. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 20:48, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There have definitely been some that have been created that are questionable. He was blocked on en.wiki for creating bad categories and then went on to be blocked for socking when his account was prevented from creating categories there. So I will just take this opportunity to let you know of WP:ONESTRIKE here as well as the fact that on simple wikipedia we attempt to have a simplier category structure here with less specific categories where possible so you might want to slow down on creating categories until you get a feel for things here. -Djsasso (talk) 19:36, 20 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

October 2020[change source]

Hello! Thank you for creating a new category. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 18:34, 12 October 2020 (UTC) I don't think he meant to do wrong, he was just trying to help.--Derpdart56 (talk) 18:36, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction categories[change source]

When you create a category like Category:Mass media franchises introduced in 1997, please include a category for the specific year (or decade, in the case of decade categories). For this category, I added Category:1997 establishments, but you could just add the plain year category if there's no category for establishments. In general, there should be some category that covers every part of the category name. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. --Auntof6 (talk) 20:42, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We like and strongly encourage helpful changes to Wikipedia, but an article you created was directly copied and pasted from the main English Wikipedia. Please do not do that. Such articles are usually too complex. They need to be simplified before or immediately after being added to the Simple English Wikipedia. In addition, be sure to include attribution on the article's talk page. Thank you. Operator873talkconnect 17:07, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RfD nomination of Brock Baker[change source]

An editor has requested deletion of Brock Baker, an article you created. We appreciate your changes, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

November 2020[change source]

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:Movies by format. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 07:23, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quick deletion of William Frates[change source]

The page you wrote, William Frates, has been selected for quick deletion. If you think this page should be kept, please add {{wait}} below the line {{QD}} and say why on the talk page. If the page is already gone, but you think this was an error, you can ask for it to be undeleted. You can find more information about the reason here. Redirects of complex detail[change source]

I have redirected your new stubs for Batman, Agent K, and Agent J. Separate articles are not needed for each and every portrayal of a character (Batman) and separate character articles just make things more complex--readers must go to each article. --Gotanda (talk) 23:22, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

RfD nomination of Category:Uncanny valley[change source]
