hi, you moved the tft page....

to the thin film transistor liquid crystal display page and I just thought that for anyone using simple english it was a bit complicated looking ~ R.T.G 05:29, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's an official title. We don't changes titles. That's like changing "High-definition television" (HD-TV) to "High-quality television" (HQ-TV), it keeps its naming. I hope this explains it. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 05:38, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
well to me the title is thin display or it is electronically lit colour changing plastic coated thin film transistor liquid crystal moving picture display screen technology which the common term TFT does not describe quite so much. Although the name on en.wiki is that length, the link is simply (simply) TFT-LCD. See [1] ~ R.T.G 05:53, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh man, I was moving it right when I saw the "new messages" thing. But thanks. -- American Eagle (talk) 18:22, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Dear American Eagle/Archive 6 thank you for supporting my recent RfA which closed as successful. I very much appreciate your support and I will do my best for the community in my new administrator role. Thanks again, FSM Noodly?

drama and strife

Apologies for bringing "drama and strife" to Simple Wikiquote but that was where Ric asked on his talk page here to be contacted for talking. Up to you and the rest of the community to manage him there. His RfA was inappropriate and I think his conduct on other projects is relevant. Otherwise, I have no opinion. --Matilda (talk) 01:41, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was more talking about Majorly because (IMO) he's known for that, causing havoc (no offense). I was fine with your original message because it was where he is active. Fine with me, I just want SE:WQ to grow without fighting, but you are free to stay. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 01:44, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User

Hi, can you see Cassandra's talk page please I have a concern over someone's username. Thanks. Yotcmdr (talk) 18:41, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done by Majorly. Yotcmdr (talk) 18:42, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I was about to get to that before your message even came up. Thank you, Majorly, for doing it. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 18:45, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

hey

Long time no talk.....we haven't talked in a while.--   ChristianMan16  05:29, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes we do need to stay in touch...in the mean time a bot just reported an IP to WP:VIP and I added more info...would ya check it out please?--  CM16  04:37, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, man, I'd also like to point out the Image discussion on Simple talk. God bless.--  CM16  04:48, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The idea is to vote on all three idivdually...which I need to do, excuse me.--  CM16  04:55, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I opposed the final two. I'm still undecided on the first proposal. I think I'll wait to see what others admins think, then weight in. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 04:57, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I supported 1 and opposed 2 and 3.....Option one was, I think, my original idea.--  CM16  04:58, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

May I please have some help?

I am wasting no time in finding a mentor here on the Simple English Wikipedia. Would you mind teaching me the ways of the Simple English Wikipedia sysop? It would be very much appreciated, thank you very much. --Dylan620 02:53, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome present! (I was asleep when you gave it to me, so I didn't discover it until now.) That should give my account here an edge over my account on the English Wikipedia; I was never given any welcome template there.
I'll get to learning ASAP. --Dylan620 13:30, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You

The Yotcmdr Barnstar
Thank you for supporting me in my RFA which passed with 15 supports and no opposes. The barnstar may not mean much to you, but your support did to me, thanks. Yotcmdr =talk to the commander= 09:02, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Aww, that's a really good message, Yotcmdr. Happy to support. -- American Eagle (talk) 18:12, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • The QandA. Every month, Kennedy will interview one of Simple English Wikipedia's editors, asking them about themselves, and their opinions on Wikipedia. It is an exciting insight behind the anonymous face of an online username. Las month we debuted with Microchip08. Due up next was Shapiros10 but due to uncontrollable circumstances we have had to postpone this to next month. Instead, Bluegoblin7 takes the reigns and interviews Gwib, who kindly volunteered to keep the section in this issue. Click for his interview:

Change my page to say I am retired. I can't edit there until tommorow and the enviorement it too dangerous, "friend". VandalFighterFR(V) Bad warning? 01:55, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{Wikibreak}} (currently what's on your user page) means you'll be taking a break from Wikipedia for a while and probably will be coming back. {{Retired}} means you're leaving Wikipedia (not to come back). Since you said you're coming back tomorrow, wouldn't {{wikibreak}} be fine? But if you're coming back tomorrow, you don't really even need any template. For me, if I'm going on break, I just don;t edit, period. I don't really add any template. What do you think? — RyanCross (talk) 02:07, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I meant on Simple Wikiquote. VandalFighterFR(V) Bad warning? 03:56, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there!

Hi, AE! I thought your comment on the proposals to close us was so good that I put it on my Userpage. And also, would you like to comment on my ER? No-one else has commented there. TurboGolf 19:55, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I don't think anyone's ever quoted something I said like that. I will be commenting on your ER shortly. God bless, American Eagle (talk) 02:33, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have written an apology for enWP here that I intend to present to the enWP community somehow and I would like some constructive criticism please. Please read the "letter" and comment on the "letter" here. Thank you.-- CM16 MLB  07:19, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments, man. I would let y'all know but they would call it canvassing. I'll try though. What's the worst they can do? I'm already banned. Later.--21:54, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Please stop

Please stop disrupting the DYK process by inserting your personal bias into it and misrepresenting a situation. As an admin, you are held to a much higher standard. I expect that you heed this warning. If you cannot contribute positively to the process, stop contributing to the process. Thank you. Synergy 22:08, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Woah, hang on a second. The first one was agreed upon by Yotcmdr (another admin). So I assume you will be warning him as well? But no, neither of us did any wrongdoing, nor broke any policy, not even an admin-only policy. The second one is absolutely sick. It is unprovable, trivial, and is not even interesting. I have now approved a different DYK nom, which is a positive (okay?). Also, you don't need to treat it as a warning, no policy was broken. Cheers. TheAE talk 23:11, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I am not here to debate this with you, but only to point out that you are disrupting DYK and now you've created an RfD that violates WP:POINT. I honestly do not know what you are thinking but I will ask once more. Please stop. Synergy 23:15, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What? What did I "disrupt"? What policy did I break? The RfD has nothing to do with POINT, just read the reason I gave - it had nothing to do with this discussion here. Whatsoever. TheAE talk 23:18, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I read the RfD AE. You contradict yourself near the end of the rationale, and you are using RfD for a content related problem. We do not RfD articles that need improvement, and you should know this. Synergy 23:24, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I did not read English Wikipedia's version nor went through Internet pages on it (for my own safety). I only read through our article on it, and no notability was established on the page. However, I have withdrawn the RfD. Let's move on. Alright? Thanks. ;) TheAE talk 01:42, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Why did you change your signature? TurboGolf 12:22, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know, I just had it for too long. I don't like ones that are too weird, but the one I had was too default and boring. Do you not like it? TheAE talk 19:10, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Thank you for your support in my RfA which passed 24/0/0. I will do my best to better Wikipedia with the administrative tools that the community has seen fit to grant me. Special thanks to Shapiros10 for nominating me and if you ever need anything, feel free to ask! Malinaccier (talk) (review) 18:03, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RfA Thankspam

American Eagle/Archive 6, thanks for your comments in my recent RfA which closed as 12/11 or "no consensus". I hope to work on the things that were raised and prove to the community that I am worthy of the mop, this includes showing my RL stability, that I don't have Ownership issues with DYK and also showing that I know what consensus is.
