Apparently you deleted my article on Kevin Guo on Simple English Wikipedia. Your reason stated was that the article did not show notability (QD A4). It is definitely a notale subject. Please revert the deletion.

Just a heads up, this IP just got block for making personal attacks. EVula // talk // // 02:50, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That IP (24.119.29.143) had 0 warnings, and most (if not all) the edits were in good faith. I'm not sure if you realized that. Griffinofwales (talk) 03:04, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, the block has been reversed; it was in error. Thanks for raising it with me. fr33kman talk 03:26, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you just blocked The Dictator (talk · contribs), is he a sock of Señor Kruzkin (talk · contribs) as well? Tiptoety talk 04:52, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Meetup[change source]

Hi! Thank you for the message. The meet up was great - even though it was just the three of us (I turned up half an hour late by the way). There was discussion on almost any topic that could be covered - ones that were lengthy include the Simple English Wikipedia, its relation to the larger English-language Wikipedia, the current coverage of Pakistan on the wiki (and in all Wikimedia projects in general) and of course the WikiProject Pakistan. Talking from the bottom line, it was a casual social event we looked up to.

It's nice to see the rate at which internet culture is expanding globally - and from this I include the concept of Wikipedia "meetups." I think we should promote more events like these. Once again thanks for your interest. Omparkash (talk) 01:12, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That wasn't an open proxy, it's a school IP. The IP resolves to prx4.vicdir.schools.net.au. --Bsadowski1 02:39, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me[change source]

But that was absolutely uncalled for, calling me childish because I have less edits than you, and because I made an edit you considered poor. Did you ever think about how I might feel, getting shot down at an honest attempt to constructively edit this wiki? You need to learn some self control. Serious op (talk) 05:16, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, I've never told anyone I am better than them for the number of edits they or I have made. Check my contribs, please, never been said, not once! But seriously and honestly? You've been on this site since 01-01-2008. Adding that a) the picture was that of a "modern" monorail, and b) that the monorail did not use technology that was used in the Death Star (a fictional creation) seems to me (a very experienced user) to be pointless and, yes, childish. If I got it wrong I apologize fully and do so without reservation. I have serious doubts however. Prove me wrong, please! :) fr33kman talk 05:27, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Using Bots[change source]

Thank you for alerting me to Bots. I have been reading up about them. Not being very technical I have never quite understood what they were. It's the first time I had needed to make so many similar changes. Hikitsurisan (talk) 22:38, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problems. The bot flag basically has the function of marking edits as minor and also hiding them from RC. They still show up in the user's contribution history, but at least don't flood RC. Crat's tend to gie it out in two circumstances, one is for an actual bot to use, and the second is when a real user is making lots of good, small changes. fr33kman talk 23:05, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Fr33kman,

Children Safety Home is a non profit Organization.

I had taken permissions from them to use their web content.

Now you deleted the page, thats okay.

But can you say me how can i use the web content from Children Safety Home Nepal and create the page. More then 60% of the material was originally created.

"Disruptive comments"[change source]

I'm not disprupting anything, I'm simply having some fun with the edit summary (which I didn't know anyone ever looked at), at no-ones expense.

Saying ON A PAGE "this wikipedea is for those who are stuperbly thick" isn't very nice, i admit. But, i didn't actaully write that, I wrote something similar, & toned down, in the edit summary, which only some editors ever bother to look at, so very few people who are watching me or those articles will ever see it. & the only people who'll see it are editors, thus limiting the people who'll see it anyway.Don'tt block me for my harmless & innecent fun, as thats just plain communism. Wikipedea has a page about good faith & not 'biting' new commers, I'm new to simple wikipedea, don't bite me! BTW, here is the Uniform Resource Locator (or URL for short & to simplify), I don't know how to put a link to it so: http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Please_do_not_bite_the_newcomers. Don't look back in anger (talk) 14:49, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I shall reiterate. Follow the rules or you will not be editing here. Please also don't lecture people here about the rules, many of us helped write them in the first place. You have been warned multiple times about your comments. Further problems will not be tolerated. A block is close to occuring. BTW: Wikipedia is not communism, nor is it a democracy. It is an encyclopedia, not a social experiment. fr33kman 14:57, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am following the rules (which i have read by the way) & I missed the part where it says "if editors bite don't stand up for your self", & I didn't say wikipedea is a communism, (bt It does work like one,[hop over to my talk for a full explanation]) I said in blocking me, you would be acting like a communist. & i'm not lecturing anyone, though you have inspired me to put a lecture on my page, (though i must warn you, it won't be simplified). I won't directly lecture anyone, only those who seek one from my page. I don't mean any offence, I'm just like that, you may be teething, but please don't bite. Wikipedea has no ads either, but I may say I like something, so don't say i'm breaking rules, & don't bite me. Treat what i say as entertainment - but under no surcunstances go & buy anything I like. I know you will probably find me Irritating, but please keep those teeth away, I won't always be an irritating neiucance, I try on opinions much like i try on clothes, standing in front of the mirror wondering if they suit me. I'm not jaut being bitten it seems, I'm being eaten. so, as i don't really care about editors probems with me, i'm offering you & the others a chance to drop the subject, & forgive me for my harmless fun & let by gones be just that. comment warring solves nothing. Don't look back in anger (talk) 15:51, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no subject to drop. You have added comments that indicate that you feel this is a wikipedia for stupid people. You have made such comments in edit summaries and on individual pages. Absolutely no one is, or has, biten you. The rules are there for everyone to follow, new editors and old alike. You have merely been asked to not add comments like you have done. Please also realise that your user page is not your property and anything that is on there that is against the rules or disruptive will simply be removed. If you wish to contribute within the rules then simply get on with it. Continuing to argue will see you blocked, period. We are not here as a social tool, nor are we here for you to "try out opinions". This is a serious encyclopedia. As for you "offering" others the chance to move on, or feeling that you shall be allowed to "content war"; a) people here will not move on from people who harm the project, b) you will simply be blocked. I suggest you either start working on the building of the project or move to another web site. fr33kman 16:11, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is a subject to drop, i regard constant uncalled for moaning as biting, several people ganging up on me for a harmless joke is certainly biting. I have been constructing, there is just so little here, & so little of it that adding difficult as i'm not sure what level of complexity this wp's users can understand. not much it seems after the response of my harmless jest, which you would have never even seen without my contributions. To sum it up: If i hadn't been Editing/contributing, there would be no edit summary comment for you to winge at me for, i have contributed to Los Angelese & Green Day, & written a harmless comment about the lack of any sort of complexity & tehn you moan at me & tell me to contribute or I'll get blocked, do you see the paradox?(& I'm quite sure blackmail is aginst the rules). I appriciate what you are trying to do, have a wikipedea that normal people can understand as the standard wikipedea has got more complicated & full fo jargon. "serious encyclopedea"?? wikipedea is full of people like you who think they know it all, so imput thier opinions & false data into articles, I have harmlessly put my opinion in a edit summary, which does not affect the article. & as for "Continuing to argue will see you blocked", i'm the one who is offering to stop arguing, you are the one who is continuing the argument! why don't you do something usefull & block your self? "feeling that you shall be allowed to "content war"" You are the one who brought this into the argument which you won't let me finish, I am the one who said that a comment war, or put simply so you can understand: argument is not solving the problem. & I don't have a user page. & I don't claim to "own the userpage", So, Why don't you do what wikipedea doesn't & check the facts!? & stop twisting my words to suit your meaning.

I'm guessing that simple wikipedea is fine with arguments as you threw my offer to drop the topic & stop a pointless argument back in my face. Enjoy the war, you are the one continuing the fighting, not me. In the words of Gene Hunt off Ashes To Ashes "I ask for the truth & you piss in my face" well said I think. Don't look back in anger (talk) 16:41, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know[change source]

I have undone your edit on Death of Tina Watson, we should not return the orphan tag to that article until a discussion has been held on the issue as different user disagree.. sutch as me.. on taging of the article. Please start by joining the discussion on the articles talk page.--Sinbad (talk) 17:00, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A consensus is needed, basically.--Sinbad (talk) 17:02, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You don't seem to understand guidelines in this regard. When an editor makes a change to a page (Lauryn removing the orphan tag) and another reverses that edit (me adding it back) and then a third editor undoes the second action, this is edit-warring; it is a blockable offense. I shall leave it as it is for the moment and explain why you are wrong on the talk page. fr33kman 17:04, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As i said. A consensus need to be reached dont take it personally. Its so unnecessary.--Sinbad (talk) 17:05, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But good that you entering the discussion so an consensus is reached. This isnt a quesiton about who si wrong and right its a question about the orphan tag in question. And i dont simple believe it should have been placed there in the first place. but that is up for the consensus by editors to decide.--Sinbad (talk) 17:08, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, I take nothing personally; ask around! Secondly, consensus needs to stay within the rules. Orphans are about links coming INTO the article, not those going out. fr33kman 17:10, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

blah

Curious[change source]

Okay, thought I'd ask you rather than the Mouse: Why are edits categorized as vandalism removed from the edit history? Is this unique on simple?

They are not removed from the edit history! Click history, and you'll find your edit there. fr33kman 05:15, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Curiouser, a number of my delightful edits, which surely enriched this treasure trove of drivel yet were needlessly removed, do not appear in their respective edit histories.
Ah, my bad. These pages were edited furiously, burying my poor reverted additions.
I bet they do show up there, unless they were revision deleted. You gonna tell me who you are yet? Gotta be some kinda socker :P fr33kman 05:26, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is interesting to me that people invent theories to identify "unknowns" here that have little basis in anything factual. As for me, we've never interacted before nor have I have interacted with Lauryn. I am not a sock puppet in any sense -- just an anonymous IP user. I do not troll, stalk, or harass particular users; stalking is scary and I have no interest in scaring anyone. I just like mischief, within reason. It's that simple. I'll then get bored and go someplace else. C'est la vie. And by the way, those edits were indeed revision deleted. From the "other side," I think that's among the most effective vandal fighting mechanisms I've encountered.

71.22.170.68[change source]

Yesterday you posted this [1] but I don't see a block at all. I ask because the user edited just now and had two articles deleted. I know the articles that (s)he created were continuously created by socks on En., so I assume it's related, but could you take action here if you still think it's appropriate? Thanks, Either way (talk) 16:40, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's continuing so I hardblocked it for a week for now. Feel free to adjust the settings as you see fit. Either way (talk) 16:47, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks very much for catching that! I got distracted by a phone call between placing the notice and forgetting to place the block. :) fr33kman 18:50, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh! Please excuse me[change source]

I am sure I should not be using wikipedia when informing people of being on a wikibreak, but--I did not know that my little sister, Eunice, was using wikipedia too. I never knew that she was Mella Mouse, and of course since we are sisters we use the same computer and live together. One day, she had logged in simple wiki, and went away, and I came to use it--not knowing that the account I was using was accidently Eunice's. Pmlineditor had adopted me, and he wrote the note to me about rollbacking. I apologized to him, and said I would try to use it better, but I felt sad, ashamed, and guilty because I didn't use the rollback right, and so I quickly erased the note so that nobody else woud see it and think that I was a bad user. Oh, yes, and the IP adress is probably the same because we use the same computer. After having a wikibreak, I could not help but revert a few vandals because they were so annoying, so I used the IP adress to revert them. Please do not mistake Eunice as my sockpuppet. Thankyou, and best regards, Miss Tilney (talk) 03:39, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am actually aware of three accounts editing from your IP address, but there is no evidence of sockpuppetry so no action needs to be taken, at this time. Thank you for your explanation. Take care! fr33kman 03:44, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the three accounts are me, my big sister Classical Esther and my little sister Mella Mouse. Thankyou! Miss Tilney (talk) 03:51, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Fr33kman, thank you very, very much for your email. It was not only wise, but very kind. I should quite abhor myself if I really had sockpuppets, despite the amazing trust that has been lavished upon me. Will you be so very kind as to tell me where the discussion took place? I would like to read it. Well, thank you once again, both for trusting me and writing to me! you have henceforth my purest esteem, my fullest gratitude, and my deepest respect! Hi! Due to their nature checkuser discussions are not open for public viewing. However, it took place on IRC in the #wikimedia-checkuser channel (which is private only to checkusers and stewards) and in private messaging. Thanks for your kind reply. fr33kman 23:50, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for changing it (my name), kind, kind Fr33kman! You are extremely good in these things, and I am most obliged to you! Happily, Pretty Lydie (talk) 05:02, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not at all, any time with pleasure. Please change you signature to reflect the change, and if I may be so bold, please keep it as Belinda. You change it too often! :) fr33kman 05:08, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thankyou, I'll just keep it as Belle :) unless a very important reason to change my signature again... But by the way, my rollback rights are somehow gone as my name changed! Could you give me it back? Regards, Belle (talk) 05:11, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Log out and then log back in as Belinda. Belinda is a rollbacker. fr33kman 05:15, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Whew, that's a relief! Thanks for blocking Starbuilder22. I think he's using about three sockpuppets to vandalize Wikipedia, and it was hard work fighting him! He kept on writing some annoying things about ghosts eating toast halfway up the lamppost. Regards, Classical Esther 06:01, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, long time socker! :) If you ever see those edits again, just report to WP:VIP right away! Thx for helping! :) Hope you are feeling better! fr33kman 06:04, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the barnstar! You're so nice...I replied on my talk page. ^^ And now, I shall indulge myself with just one more impertinent question: May I please have the honour of adding you to "users I respect" on my user page? Classical Esther 07:18, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

 Done by Barras, welcome back :) fr33kman 23:56, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

O, sorry, Fr33kman... I didn't rollback it because I thought it was vandalism, but because I thought it was NPOV, like you said. That person wasn't exactly being neutral enough, I think. Was it right to rollback the edits like that? I'll be especially careful next time! Thankyou for always being helpful and kind to me and Esther. :) Have a good time on wikipedia, and God bless! Belle (talk) 08:26, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about it; but do keep in mind rollback is for vandalism, undo is for everything else. Yes, it was not very NPOV at all; but it was not vandalism. You do a good job! Best regards, always yours, fr33kman 08:29, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Yes, I agree with you that sometimes people nominate articles for deletion because they disagree with them, and this is fine as long as the reason that they disagree with them is due to the fact that they violate polices and so on. However, it's not okay just because they may go against ones religious beliefs which is why I felt that Christianrocker90 nominated the South Park article for deletion. Just wanted to clarify that for you before I went to bed. :) Cheers, Lauryn 08:14, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just want to clear the record in hopes we can put this behind us once and for all, I didn't read anything about the episode outside the name, episode number, when it aired and reception, I didn't read the plot, I simply nom'd the article base on what I just told you I read, nothing else. Now can we please put this behind us?--   CR90  08:22, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree with you on this, Lauryn. I've known CR90,CM16,hornetman16, (Aaron) for years. He has changed a great deal. I don't think he continues to POV push here. I really don't. The point of this is about whether or not WP-space should contain things like WikiProjects. I don't see the issue. I've seen some pure POOH left in WP-space on en, and other sites. What makes simple above all that? We are not made of paper, afterall. Who cares whether or not it is in User- or WP- space? It's only bytes. Now, that does not mean I think he's right; I just don't agree he's being pushy :) fr33kman 08:24, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, thanks. I actually tend to favour the inclusion of WikiProjects/humour pages in Wikipedia space, but as the community as a whole does not, that's why I took the action(s) that I did. :) Cheers, Lauryn 01:01, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, you did the right thing. I just thought I'd say that's he's changed imo. I also, as stated have no issues with WP usage; but you are right the simplewiki community as a whole does, not that I'm really sure why? lol :) fr33kman 01:06, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Fr33kman![change source]

Hi, Fr33kman! How are you getting on with The Brothers Karamazov?

I've just made a WikiProject about literature, and I thought maybe you'd like to join (I was quite impressed by your high-quality criticism of CR90's Tragic Love Story ^-^), because you're so good at things about literature. I love books, but I'm not very clever at them. If you're too busy right now, that's okay, too. Well, I wish you every felicitious end with your current request for oversightship, and God bless! Congratulations on reaching the numbers for OS - I think you will be a great asset to the team. My oppose had nothing to do with any concerns about you, so I am glad to to be the first to say congratulations. --Peterdownunder (talk) 09:15, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, same from me. You're a great asset to this Wikipedia, let alone the OS team. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:19, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with the above. Félicitations. :) Lauryn (utc) 09:20, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Someone said that replying to a congratulation is one of the tedious things in the world. Therefore, you don't have to reply to this if you're already busy doing OS stuff, but I just couldn't resist adding my most sincere congratulations! I'm sure you'll be a wonderful help to this community. (Even tho' you already are..) Classical Esther 11:00, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He doesn't have OS yet (though he probably will have it pretty soon). There isn't much OS work either today, it seems. ;)

Very true! It has not been closed by a crat yet, and I suppose I could make a few enemies before it it :P. But, ... thanks all! However, it's not a hat to me, merely a chance to prevent more pointless and abusive vandalism! :) fr33kman 11:10, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to WikiProject Literature! I hope you have a delightful time here and improve lots of articles on literature!

Hello, dear Fr33kman! I'm so glad you joined my WikiProject; I'm sure you'll be a really big help! I'm so happy that you're enjoying The Brothers Karamazov; I finally persuaded my sister Belinda to begin reading it a few days ago, and, to her surprise, she found it addictive and read it several hours straight. I don't know why, but she says that Fyodor Karamazov is "sweet" and "cute", and feels "sorry for him". Huh. :p Well, thank you for replying! I was a bit afraid you might be annoyed at me for "advertising" my WikiProject and that you were politely restraining yourself from slapping me with a trout. ^^ Well, God bless, and happy editing! You are, of course, correct. I guess I feel that a ban discussion should take place on AN rather than me just implementing an indef block and that being the end of it. If you want to extend or reinstate the indef block, I have no issues with that. fr33kman 13:22, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
